Cookie Policy

How Aptabit uses cookies and similar technologies on this site, and how you control them.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, are treated the same way in this policy. They make the site work, remember choices, and, when allowed, measure usage or load third-party content.

2Who is responsible

The controller is Aptabit, headquartered at Av. Doutor Altino Bondensan, 500, PIT - Centro Empresarial I, Sala 103E, São José dos Campos - SP, 12247-016, Brazil. This site does not send browsing data to third parties without your consent, except what is strictly necessary for security and, on the Portuguese version, the connection to VLibras described below.

3Legal basis

Necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functional and on providing the service you request (LGPD art. 7, II and IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f); ePrivacy Directive art. 5(3)). Optional cookies are used only with your free, informed, and specific consent (LGPD art. 7, I; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting your use of the site.

4How we ask for and record consent

On your first visit, a notice offers the options to accept all, reject non-essential, or customize by category, with equal prominence. No optional category is pre-checked. Your choice is recorded in the aptabit_consent cookie for 12 months; after that, or if this policy changes materially, we ask again.

  • Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
  • You can change your mind at any time under "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
  • Continuing to browse without choosing is not treated as consent.

5Categories we use

Necessary: site operation, consent record, chosen language, bot protection on the contact form, and the accessibility features you turn on (the animation pause and the VLibras preferences). Preferences: we do not use this category at this time. Statistics: we use no analytics tools at this time. External media: YouTube videos, loaded only with your consent or when you click to load a specific video.

6Brazilian Sign Language translation (VLibras)

On the Portuguese version, the site automatically loads VLibras, a Brazilian Federal Government tool that translates content into Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The tool's files come from vlibras.gov.br and from the jsDelivr content delivery network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). As a result, your browser connects to these services, which receive technical connection data such as your IP address and browser type. Loading the tool does not store cookies or other data in your browser.

If you activate VLibras, it stores your display preferences in the browser's local storage (listed below) and sends the text you choose to translate to the VLibras servers. Processing by these services follows the rules of the respective providers.

8How to manage or withdraw consent

Use the button below or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to review your choices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; in that case the notice will appear again on your next visit.

Your rights and contact

You can exercise your rights under the LGPD and the GDPR (confirmation, access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent) by writing to contact@aptabit.com.
